An intensive Italian crash course

Our intensive Italian language course in Tuscany combines the advantages of individual intensive Italian lessons to those of our Italian language course in small groups. Having the opportunity to attend private lessons improves the direct contact with the language, while the hours spent with other students will help you to develop conversational skills.
Our school is located in Poppi, a placid medieval village in Casentino, in the heart of Tuscany. Between a lesson and another, you will have the chance to explore the richness of our valley: its gastronomic treasures, the woods, its castles and churches. You’ll be surrounded by its pleasant tranquility and live your study trip as a real local.
A study holiday in which you can meet new people and treat yourself with exclusive private intensive Italian lessons held by Italian mother tongue teachers. A didactic program full of grammar and speaking lessons, conceived for a rapid and effective learning.
The 1st Monday of the course (or on your first day of arrival), after your registration at the school, we’ll check your Italian language knowledge with an entry test in order to let the teachers understand your linguistic level. Only in this way, our intensive Italian language course can be really effective.
THE COURSE
Our intensive Italian language course consists of 20 fifty-minute lessons in the morning, from 9 AM to 12:40 PM per week plus 5 sixty-minute intensive Italian lessons in the afternoon (we’ll schedule your afternoon lessons on the day of your arrival). All our lessons are held in Italian, but ‘in case of emergency’ all our teachers are fluent English speakers.
Good morning class!
During our intensive Italian language course, in the morning you’ll have class with other students at your same linguistic level, but you’ll be in groups of maximum 5 people: a great learning benefit! In the first two lessons (9-10:40 AM) you’ll be taught the Italian grammar. At 11 AM the second lesson block begins and now it’s time for conversation: you’ll learn new words and become acquainted with the spoken language. The school encourages any form of cooperative learning and is characterized by a multicultural atmosphere, which means that it will be easier for you to practice a new foreign language without the fear of being judged.
A chatty break
Morning lessons are spaced out with a 20-minute break (10:40-11 AM). In our school you won’t find any vending machine, because during the break we are in the habit of having a coffee at the bar. The break itself is part of the course, because it’s a good occasion to have a chat and learn Italian conversation with local people.
A moment for yourself
The afternoon intensive Italian lessons are a moment in which you can concentrate exclusively on your linguistic needs. These individual lessons can give an impulse to your Italian language course, solving your doubts, studying in depth what you’re really interested in and spending this hours speaking with an Italian mother tongue. Our teachers are graduated native Italian speakers and are qualified to teach Italian as a foreign language. They will select the learning material that best suits your requests in order to create a really effective intensive Italian language course.
Let’s make some role-play!
In thirty years of experience we have learnt that each student, no matter her/his age, needs to express her/his personality and in our intensive Italian language course, Thursday – the role play-day – is perfect to have fun and establish new relationships. We watch some movies, we play games like ‘complete the sentence’, we listen to famous Italian songs and then we sing them. In three words: we have fun!

Our intensive Italian language course in Tuscany is available everyday from March to October with no class suspension during holidays.
The lessons start every Monday, however we are always happy to fulfill any different request, so do not hesitate to contact us!

After the delivery of your certificate of attendance, we will say goodbye to each other, hoping to hear from you again.
Once back home, don’t let your everyday life, your work and the distance from Italy keep you away from Italian language. The school offers a continuous learning program with private lessons on Skype held by the same teachers you met in Poppi.
